LLAMAS

Bijan & Porter

Rescue llamas are now part of the Horse Creek Stable Bed & Breakfast family.

We are an official foster home for Southeast Llama Rescue, Inc.

Our hope is to expand people’s knowledge about these wonderful animals, provide guests at our Bed & Breakfast a more memorable experience, and to be able to trek our trails with our own pack llamas.

Meet our llamas.

Bijan

Bijan is an older guy but he is in great shape.  His teeth are missing for the most part but other than that he is a social and very beautiful companion.  We took Bijan in as a foster llama believing that we could take good care of him in his senior years. He probably will become a permanent member of our family if no one adopts him. He has a very good friend in Porter who came to Horse Creek Stable with him for that reason.

Porter

Porter is a relatively social guy who is easily managed.

His career as a professional pack llama was dramatically cut short when he was scared by a bear on a training hike and jumped off the side of the trail. He then went on a 2 day ramble (in full packs and dragging his lead).  He was on his own until he meandered down to a populated area where his adventure ended.

Porter has now been banished from the park where his budding career was to blossom so he is looking for a new home. In the mean time we are delighted to foster him here at Horse Creek Stable.
