Your hosts Diane and Lester, originally from the Chicago area, recently retired and moved to Georgia from Florida.
Lester worked in law enforcement for 36 years, the last ten years as a police chief. Diane is a former hair salon owner and retired hair stylist for over 30 years. Both have joined the broken bones club from horses and probably will again (what active horse owner hasn’t). Diane even earned a “Cowgirl Tuff” belt buckle!
“Customer service is our forte. We’ve traveled extensively both home and abroad and always preferred staying in bed and breakfasts. For us meeting other nice people in a quiet and charming setting, as well as the personal insight that our various hosts had to offer us about the area, activities and restaurants, always surpassed the impersonal environment of traditional hotels.”
Living the Country Life
In addition to running a Bed & Breakfast and rescuing horses and llamas, we’re getting real good at living off our own land. Raising our own chickens, producing our own eggs, harvesting vegetables from our own garden, making our own beer & wine, producing our own honey from our bee hives, converting horse waste into great compost (a highly sought after local commodity), and canning fruits and vegetables.
